Good & Evil is the second studio album of the American rock band Tally Hall. It was said that this album would have been considered Tally Hall's "debut" record with Atlantic Records, since the previous release was merely a re-release of Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum. Due to unknown circumstances, it was released on June 21, 2011 under their original label, Quack! Media. [1][2][3]

Production

In late April 2009, the band posted a scheduled event on their Facebook page entitled "Tally Hall May Tour," with a subtitle of "The Last Pre-Recording Hurrah." It stated that, after a number of shows in May, they would begin recording their second album.
On October 19th, 2009, Tally Hall began pre-production on this album. [4]

October 26th, 2009 marked the first official day of recording at The Sunset Sound Factory with Grammy-nominated producer Tony Hoffer and engineer Todd Burke.[1] Through Ross's Twitter it was revealed that they are recording 16 tracks, however the album was announced to have 14 songs[2], so it is assumed that one 3 part song that Andrew wrote is being counted as a single song.

On Twitter they announced that they completed tracking at 1:38am, November 26th, 2009 (Thanksgiving Day) leaving them one day to prepare for their tour with Rooney and Crash Kings beginning on November 27th.[5]

On May 2nd, 2011, the band released their first single off the album, You & Me, on the music webzine Consequence of Sound.[6] The following day, the single was officially released on iTunes.

On June 20th, 2011, the band released the track, "&", via their YouTube account. [7]

The album is currently available through their official website, as well as online services iTunes, Amazon MP3, and Rhapsody.[8]

It was released on CD, vinyl, and digital download.
